Hi!! The weekend is ending soon in about 1 and a half hour more. Yesterday, I had my chinese orals, I did ok but not great. But the main point is not that and it was the bus ride I took later after the orals. I was waiting for 853 at the usual bus stop, after10 mins, I saw a blind man stepping out of a car which stopped at the bus stop and went off after the blind man came out of it. I contemplating with myself, whether or not to go forward and ask the blind man which bus he was waiting for. However, I was one step too late when I decided to step forward to help, an AJC girl went ahead of me to help the blind man. While she was helping him, I posed myself a question, why don't the government come up with something to help blind people to get around with buses? if a blind person was to take a bus, without any support, would he/she be able to find out the bus number himself/herself? Even if he/she could, could he/she be able to know when to come down from the bus to go wherever he/sh
Hi!!! Blogged yesterday but due an error so everything gone! =( Anyway, I am going to type everything today. So here goes. Friday: Went for Good Friday's service at AMK Hub Cathay Cinema, well, it was simply in one word "Inspiring". I found out that Jesus gave his life or made the ultimate sacrifice for strangers like you and me so be thankful and live everyday to your best! Saturday: Flag Day, Flag Day! Met up with Aaron, Yun Yi and Jason for early lunch at 10.30 am. After that Yun Yi, Aaron, Weisheng, Bryan, Lionel and me watched Orphanage, a spanish horror movie, it was good with occasional scares and new storyline rather than following old horror movies. After that we rushed to the Flag Day booth to collect our donation bags as we were suppose to be there at 1 pm, however, the movie ended at 1.45 pm so we were late! We sighed in relief when there were people who were later than us. After collecting the bags, we walked to Heeren when I first discovered that my bag'
Hi again, went to watch Spiderwick Chronicles today, it was a good show. It was a show which showed themes like family, thriller and of course the most obvious one fantasy. It was a pity we didn't watch this when we went out for the movie, Bryan!! Anyway, other than that, well tried to finish the unending loads of work again today. However, I am still left with Chinese and E maths. Hopefully, the new term's timetable will be good. =) Ok, I guess thats all, nitez everyone! God Bless, Joshua Yeo
Hiya! Just found this song called ' Breathless' by Shayne Ward, try listening to it. ^^ It is on my Blog's music playlist, you can listen to it there. Went to cut my hair today, I like my hairstyle, it is not bad! I went to LAN again today with Adwin, Andrew, Bryan Lian and Joshua Chia. We played CS and Pudge Wars, it is both fun and thrilling! Too bad, I think the next time I would go LAN again is most probably after the big Os, hopefully I get good results then can go out with my friends more oftenly, if not my mum would be nagging again, haiz... Well, lots of homework and revision to do, nitez everyone! =) God Bless, Joshua Yeo
Hi! =) Had a great time today, first we went to eat at Fish & Co. I shared with Yun Yi a set, Eugene and Lionel one set, Bryan one set and Weisheng one set, it came up to a total of $77.23. After eating, we went to Crumpler Shop at Paragon where we met sisca. Sisca and Lionel helped Bryan on deciding which bag to buy and he bought it. It was pouring outside by then so we had to run to Cineleisure where we decided to watch The Eye instead of Rule 1 due to age restriction. It was so-so as it was a combination of horror films and we could predict when the ghosts were appearing. However, there was once when it was silent and suddenly, a spirit appear out of nowhere banging on the window, Jason smacked Bryan's thigh in shock, haha! After that, we went for a bit of shopping before we went home. Overall, it was a fun-filled day. =) Nitez everyone!^^ God Bless, Joshua Yeo
Tired... Today, I went to science centre for Biology, it was new and interesting. I found out that I had Alu ( a harmless virus that stays in your DNA). Learnt lots of things too about DNA and Bio Informatics. We wore lab coats like scientists and used a micropipette which was something different from the usual pipette, it was more sophiscated and more user-friendly. After this experience, I would definitely put Bio Informatics as one of my choices for the subjects to study in Uni. After the whole course, we were dropped off a bus stop and by miracle, it was my usual bus stop. I went running after that, I ran a total of 10km =) Didn't really expect myself to be able to do that after I had not been running for what seems like ages. Ok thats will be all, Have a fun and fulfilling holidays, Nitez... God Bless, Joshua Yeo
Weee, back from a long stressful week. Lots of things happened. I got back some of my test results, it was not bad, here they are: 1. Chinese : 40.5/50 2. Physics: 22/25 3. Chemistry: 12/20 Other than that, the sec 3s had their C and C and it was quite a disaster, a lot of people failed!!! Haiz... How are the sec 3s going to take over like that?!?! I done lots of self-reflection too during bus rides home. There was once I witnessed a teenager giving up her seat for an elderly, it is very warming to see that there is still kindness in the midst of all the emotionless faces. Even for me, I had only given up my seat on a few occasions. A few times I was reflecting about what is the thing that really matters in the midst of all these stressful and tiring things that we have to do everyday, what I came out with was simply... The results, after all the sweat or sometimes even blood that we have given, at the end of the day, it is the results that everyone is anticipating for. Ok I think that
